“Perception is the middle man we all know but never acknowledge. He’s the bridge between our souls and the universe. He’s over the river of life, but under the emotional storm clouds of humanity. It’s impossible to see the bridge through the clouds, but our experiences arrive wet from the weather. Plus, our five roads are the only way in or out, so you know he’s up there.

Harmony can take a stroll down any of those five roads, but it’s my favorite when she chooses Vision. Any time I catch a glimpse of her on my street, I can’t help but to stop and stare. She seems to exist so effortlessly, but she’s incredibly complex. That’s her hook. Perception fell right into her trap and they’ve been married for centuries. I’m sure you know their son, Art. He’s really popular in town and a close friend of mine. We’re both really fascinated by his parents, and their uncanny ability to visually connect random things that inspire feeling.”

Background

Fabian was born in Washington Heights, Manhattan, to Colombian and Chilean parents and has lived throughout all of New York City's five boroughs and some neighboring towns. Although gifted in both Mathematics and The Sciences, Fabian decided to leave them behind for a career in Art after high school. Fabian graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology in 2009 with an A.A.S. in Fashion Illustration. An academic/scientific approach to Art led Fabian to also study classical drawing and painting simultaneously at The Grand Central Academy of Art beginning 2007, learning under Camie Davis. Around this time Fabian was also taught privately by American Painter Harry Folsom, until 2010, when Fabian was accepted into The Florence Academy of Art, and relocated to their second campus in Gothenburg, Sweden. 2011 marked the year where Fabian was invited to paint The NYC Graffiti Wall of Fame, located in Manhattan's East Harlem district, as acknowledgement for the street installations he left abroad. In 2012, Fabian led a multi-tiered Skillshare class entitled "Urban Typography" where students were made to understand graffiti as an art form and not vandalism, as well as explore and appreciate its origins and most notable artists. This love for letters continued in 2013 sparking the kickstarter project iWish:Life-Changing Doodles and Sigil Magic, which was successful and overfunded. Also In 2013, Fabian briefly studied at The Harlem Studio of Art under Judith Kudlow, and showed at Tribeca's Gallery 69 for several shows. All skills combined, Fabian then began to apply his focus to the application of Tattoo and was quickly staffed by Wyld Chyld Tattoo in Merrick, NY as a professional tattoo artist in 2014. Fabian is presently in production of Fine Art, Tattoo, Graphic Design, and Installations in Yonkers, NY.
